Nuvali, a planned residential and commercial community developed by Ayala Land Corporation in Sta. Rosa, Laguna celebrates the holiday season annually with the Nuvali Fountain of Lights Festival, where a special video display is projection mapped onto three large fountains situated in the middle of its 4-hectare lake feature.
This holiday tradition started out in 2019 with content developed by the renowned artist collective teamLab and local award-winning projection designer GA Fallarme. The event was put on hold for the next two years due to the pandemic but made its big comeback in 2022 with content developed by Fallarme.
I had the pleasure of working on the project by conceptualizing, storyboarding, and overseeing the development of one of the video presentations for that year, titled “The Night Sky.” The video shows a dazzling display of celestial bodies where constellations came to life and danced upon a sea of stars`

In 2024 GA and I worked together again in developing the videos for that year’s Fountain of Lights Festival. One of the videos was “Dragons of Prosperity,” a story of four dragons holding dominion over the natural elements of water, earth, wind, and fire and how they kept the cycle of life on Earth in constant motion. I conceptualized, storyboarded, and oversaw the development of the video. I also designed the dragons, which were brought to life by our 3D artists.

The dragons were also recreated in real life by a team of stage designers who created outdoor installations inspired by that year’s video presentations.
